The conference welcomes original research contributions in the following areas.
What RDCONF is
Knowledge produced inside R&D and design centers often stays in internal reports. If it never reaches the literature, it never reaches the next team working on the same problem. Universities, meanwhile, can end up studying the same questions at a distance from the field. RDCONF exists to bring both sides into one room, under one set of review criteria.
Why design, research and development belong together
Turning a problem into a working answer is not the work of a single discipline. Research frames the question, development makes the answer function, design makes it usable. Split across separate conferences, the connection between them is lost. RDCONF keeps engineering, natural sciences, architecture, design and planning within a single program.
The sixth edition
RDCONF 2026 is the sixth edition of the congress. It takes place in person on 3–4 December 2026 at Bilgiyi Ticarileştirme Merkezi in Istanbul. Presentations happen in the room; there is no online attendance.
What you leave with
- An oral presentation in front of reviewers from your field and teams from industry.
- A permanent publication record for work that passes review: the ISBN abstract book, a full paper with a DOI in OPRD, or an article in EJRND.
- Direct contact between academia and R&D and design centers.
An accepted paper must be presented orally at the congress to be published. Publication is decided by peer review; the registration fee covers attendance and editorial processing.
