Article Types
The European Journal of Research and Development (EJRnD) publishes scholarly contributions that fall within the journal’s aims and scope and that meet the required standards of originality, scientific quality, methodological rigor, and relevance. At present, the journal considers submissions in the following manuscript categories:
Original Research Articles
Review Articles
Authors are expected to select the most appropriate article type at the time of submission. All submissions are evaluated according to the editorial standards, peer review procedures, and ethical principles of the journal.
Original Research Articles
Original Research Articles present novel scientific findings, innovative methods, analytical models, experimental results, computational approaches, or technological developments that make a clear contribution to the relevant field.
This article type is intended for manuscripts that report original research outcomes and demonstrate scientific or practical significance. Submissions should be based on a clearly defined research problem or objective and should present a coherent methodology, reliable results, and a well-supported interpretation of findings.
Original Research Articles are expected to include, where appropriate:
a clear and informative title,
an abstract summarizing the purpose, methodology, findings, and significance,
keywords,
an introduction presenting the research context and objectives,
a methodology or materials and methods section,
results,
discussion,
conclusion,
and complete references.
Depending on the nature of the study, manuscripts may also include funding information, conflict of interest disclosure, ethics approval statements, acknowledgements, and data availability information.
To be considered for publication, Original Research Articles should:
present original work,
demonstrate scientific rigor,
contain a sound and transparent methodology,
provide clear and credible results,
offer a meaningful contribution to the literature or practice,
and remain within the editorial scope of the journal.
Manuscripts that are technically weak, lack originality, provide insufficient methodological detail, or do not offer a clear scholarly contribution may be declined during editorial assessment or peer review.
Review Articles
Review Articles provide a comprehensive, critical, and analytical evaluation of a specific area of research, technology, or scientific development. This article type is intended for authors who aim to synthesize the current state of knowledge in a field, identify key themes and trends, evaluate strengths and limitations in the literature, and highlight directions for future research.
Review Articles should not merely summarize previously published studies. Instead, they are expected to present a structured and scholarly interpretation of the literature, supported by a broad, current, and relevant body of sources.
A strong Review Article should:
define the scope of the review clearly,
present a coherent and well-organized structure,
critically analyze the literature rather than listing studies descriptively,
identify research gaps, limitations, and emerging directions,
and provide insight of clear academic value.
Review Articles are generally expected to include:
a precise and informative title,
an abstract,
keywords,
an introduction defining the subject and purpose of the review,
clearly organized thematic or methodological sections,
critical discussion of the literature,
concluding remarks and future perspectives,
and a comprehensive reference list.
Reviews must be written with academic depth and should demonstrate intellectual synthesis, conceptual clarity, and strong command of the relevant literature. Manuscripts that are overly descriptive, insufficiently analytical, outdated in coverage, or lacking a clear review framework may not be considered suitable for publication.
General Expectations for All Article Types
Regardless of manuscript category, all submissions to EJRnD must:
be written in clear academic English,
be original and not under consideration elsewhere,
comply with the journal’s ethical and editorial policies,
fit the aims and scope of the journal,
present accurate and complete scholarly content,
and be suitable for peer review.
The journal evaluates all submissions based on originality, methodological quality, clarity of presentation, relevance to the journal, and scholarly contribution.
Article Type Selection
Authors should select the appropriate article type carefully before submission. If a manuscript is submitted under an unsuitable category, the editorial office may request resubmission under a more appropriate article type or may decline the submission if it does not align with the journal’s editorial framework.
The journal reserves the right to make editorial judgments regarding the suitability of the selected article type.
Final Note
EJRnD seeks to publish article types that support scientific advancement, research integrity, and practical relevance. By clearly defining its accepted manuscript categories, the journal aims to ensure consistency in editorial evaluation and to provide transparent guidance for prospective authors.
